Carl Gruber Sports Complex

A Legacy of Community and Play in Tilton
Carl Gruber Sports Complex

The Carl Gruber Sports Complex stands as a testament to the vision of former Tilton Mayor Carl Gruber. In the early 1950s, Mayor Gruber successfully obtained this land from General Motors, transforming an industrial property into what was then known as the Tilton Ballpark.

Today, that legacy continues as the premier destination for sports and family recreation in the Village.

The Home of Champions

The complex features four well-maintained ball fields and serves as the proud home turf for the American Legion Post 210 baseball and softball teams.

The Full Experience: Our concession stand is open during games, offering classic ballpark snacks and refreshments to keep fans fueled for every home run.

Family & Pet Amenities

  • Double Play Dog Park: A dedicated, secure space for your fourlegged athletes to run and socialize.
  • Picnics & Gatherings: Host your next event at one of our pavilions, complete with charcoal grills for the perfect community cookout.
  • Adventure & Off-Road Access: Unique to the region, the complex provides direct access to the ATV trails. It serves as a perfect staging point for riders looking to explore the rugged terrain of Tilton’s famous off-road areas.

Coming Spring/Summer 2026

We are continuing to grow! Look forward to the grand opening of our brand-new playground and swing sets, designed to provide a safe and modem play area for the next generation of Tilton families.
