''What is Municipal Court?
Municipal Court is for any of the participating Municipalities above that have issued a notice to appear (NTA) or by a Building Inspector.
Can I appear here for my State Charges?
No. This is not State Charges and are held solely within the Municipal Court jurisdiction.
Am I provided an attorney?
No. The attorney present is there to represent the issuing entities only.
What happens if I plead Guilty?
If the accused chooses to plead guilty they will accept all fines and court costs associated with their case.
Can I choose to have a hearing?
There is a public hearing officer present that will hear cases if the accused chooses a hearing, but this hearing officer will determine guilt or innocence, as well as costs that will be imposed if found guilty.
Who will set my court date?
Court dates are assigned by the officer or the issuing entity, those dates will be on the first and or third Tuesday of each presiding month.
Where can I make my payment?
Payments of fines for all entities can be made online or in person at the Village of Tilton City Hall.
How can I FOIA a Municipal Court Case?
FOIA request regarding a case NEEDS to be requested through the agency that issued the citation/ ordinance violation.
